Silhouette Soft Thread Lift is a simple, quick and minimally invasive approach to achieving the results typically associated with a facelift: a reshaped face with redefined contours. Over time, it also helps restore facial volume.
The Silhouette Soft thread is an innovative suspension suture with resorbable bidirectional cones that provide the skin and facial tissue with well defined support as the lifting action sets in.
As there are no incisions, the technique leaves no scars and can be successfully used for all areas of the face. You can look forward to the return of youthful firmness. Silhouette Soft redefines facial contours, lifts the lower jaw, and adds volume to the cheek and cheekbones. It makes sagging and wrinkles a thing of the past.
Silhouette Soft can be used to treat different parts of the face: Contours of the face, jaw line, cheeks and mid face areas, eyebrows and neck.
Poly L-lactic acid (PLLA), the principal component of Silhouette Soft, is a well-known polymer that is particularly biocompatible with the human body, and also completely biodegradable.
Age control calls for restoring smoother and more toned skin, along with bringing back a more shapely face. Silhouette Soft Thread Lift achieves this dual effect – lifting and regeneration.
The lifting effect is immediate and discreet as it is the result of compressing the tissue and elevating the skin at the time of implanting the suture. After inserting the suture, the dermatologist applies slight pressure on the treated area, to reshape the surface of the skin and make it visibly smoother.
The regenerating effect grows as the poly L-lactic acid gets gradually resorbed and acts on the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production. This action, which continues over time, helps increase the volume of saggy areas and restores shapeliness to the face.
Here’s how the procedure goes. After the application of a local anaesthetic, the dermatologist inserts the suture under the skin to a depth of about five millimeters. A small incision is required and the suture is inserted using a fine needle. It is held in place with resorbable cones oriented in opposite directions (bidirectional).
People with mild to moderate signs of facial ageing will see the most effective rejuvenation. The results are almost instantaneous; sutures take minimal time to heal and leave no scars. The low downtime after this non-surgical facelift has earned it the label of a ‘lunchtime facelift’. The procedure takes about 30-60 minutes, and you should be able to get back to your full social life with minimal recovery time.
Changes can be observed immediately after the treatment. Facial features are lifted, youthful contour redefined, wrinkles and lines eased away, and folds, opened out. Asblood circulation is pepped up, improved oxygenation brightens the skin. The benefits grow over time as collagen formation accelerates, making the skin more firm and plumped out, while the fat-dissolving properties of the threads reduce fat from awkward areas like the chin.
Above all, this is a live, ongoing facelift that continues to work from the inside long after the treatment session. Delivering a definite lift of confidence.
Like all procedures of this type there is a possibility of side effects, although not everybody experiences them. These side effects include minimal acute inflammatory tissue reaction, pain, swelling, oedema and infection. Transient bruising may also occur. Sometimes, a slight depression or skin irregularity may appear at the entry points. These should disappear within a few days after treatment.
If you experience any other side effects, you should talk to your dermatologist.
Silhouette Soft is a tailor-made treatment, so it will be adapted to your needs and preferences and can be complemented with other aesthetic treatments.
