Review: Kaya Gold Radiance Facialkaya-gold-treatment-radiance-938x535

When Kaya Skin Clinic invited me to try their popular Kaya Gold Radiance facial, I jumped at it because that’s precisely what my skin needed! After a busy winter holiday of skiing and playing in the snow, my skin was screaming for hydration. Freezing temperatures and cold winds in the mountains zapped away the moisture from my skin, leaving it dull, dry and sun-damaged. What better than a facial to revitalize my skin and bring the natural lustre back? So I decided to give the Kaya Gold Radiance facial a try! After all, Kaya has built a unique international clinical practice establishing itself as the largest chain of skincare clinics in the Middle East. I knew they won’t disappoint.

Kaya has 18 Clinics in the region and I chose to visit their Mirdiff City Center branch. From the moment I arrived at the Clinic, I was well taken care of by their lovely staff. I was offered some water and warm beverage to drink and after that my therapist ushered me into the treatment room. She showed me the Kaya Gold range of products enriched with 24 karat gold flakes, gold dust and vitamins. Kaya Gold skin products, she explained, are easily absorbed by the skin and suited to almost all skin types.

My facial began with the usual cleansing, warm compress and massage to stimulate the skin and improve circulation. She then exfoliated a thin layer of skin with an instrument that gently polishes the skin while sucking away dead skin cells. After that she set out to work on the extractions, which frankly is never an enjoyable part of any facial. I always dread the extractions and this one was no different. I had a lot of blackheads to be extracted, thanks to my sloppy skincare regimen while on vacation. After the deep cleansing and extraction, my therapist gently applied the Kaya 24 Karat Vitamin C booster serum all over my face and neck and a 24 Karat eye serum plus cream around the eyes before massaging them into my skin. Slowly with tensions getting released, I gradually slipped into a blissful trance and at some point, fell asleep.

The facial ends with a 24 Karat gold and collagen face mask. The mask is a jelly like wrap infused with antioxidants and vitamins to make the skin youthful and radiant. The pack can even be taken home and re-used a couple of times. It however needs to be kept in a refrigerator to retain the freshness of active ingredients. After leaving me to relax with the mask on for 10-15 minutes, my therapist returned to remove the mask and apply a moisturizing sunscreen lotion. I was also handed in an after care card with instructions on how to look after my skin post treatment.

With my face looking clean and hydrated, I stepped out of the clinic feeling wonderfully relaxed. I knew the results would be more obvious the next day which was in fact the case. To be honest, I was only expecting a well hydrated and moist skin after the treatment, but to my surprise, all those fine wrinkles on my forehead and expression lines faded as well. All in all, the Kaya Gold Radiance facial was well worth a try. I wouldn’t say that my skin changed dramatically after the facial, but it certainly eased my fine lines and nourished my skin making it look radiant and youthful. I am really looking forward to using the Gold face mask again in a few days. I was asked to put on the mask once a week for 3 successive weeks. That will hopefully keep my skin fresh and glowing for long.
